Dachser Group establishes joint ventures in Chile and Thailand 

In the course of the global expansion of its intercontinental network the logistics service provider Dachser founded two new subsidiaries at the beginning of January. In Chile the group established a 50:50 joint venture with the Gesto-Log-company, which is a partnership of the reputed local transportation enterprise Logística Industrial S.A. and the experienced logistician Rolf Gremler. The venture will act under the name “Dachser Chile S.A.”. The target is to establish the Dachser air- and seafreight activities in the highly developed South and Latin American market, as the group announced in a press release.

The group will enter into the Thai market by the Indian joint venture AFL Dachser Pvt. Ltd., using the name Dachser AFL Thailand Ltd. The joint venture is based in Bangkok. AFL Dachser is holding 90 per cent of the shares, while the rest is held by the locale Management. The Management Board of Dachser AFL Thailand will consist of Managing Director Jittimit Somchart and Chief Executing Officer Detlev Janik, who is also managing the Indian joint venture AFL Dachser Pvt. Limited.

On the American continent Dachser is now represented with locations in the US, Mexico, Brazil and Chile. The Asian network comprises locations in China, India, Taiwan, South Korea and Thailand.
