Norbert moved to e-POD

Norbert Dentressangle has introduced an electronic proof of delivery  system in its food business unit, where manufacturing customers are increasingly moving to invoice on POD.

POD signatures can be captured in real time at the point of delivery and made available online to customers.

The system also allows discrepancies to be raised live by the driver, with the ability to capture photographic evidence of damages, and so on. This allows customers to raise invoices within minutes of a delivery being made and supports near zero invoice discrepancies.

The system uses cloud-based mobile software developed by Data Driven Logistics.

Dentressangle has replaced its in-cab mobile phones with ruggedised, mobile-enabled Getac tablet devices, allowing drivers to receive, view, record and send data via mobile internet. The system can also be deployed on any smart phone, allowing it to be used by Dentressangle’s sub-contractors.
