Oskar Berger leaves Augustin Group

Change in LKW Augustin Management Board

As of June 30, an era ends at the Augustin Group. After two years of successful restructuring and reforming into autonomous business units, the previous owner Oskar Berger says good bye and hands over the Management of the medium-sized transport company, which is headquartered in Straßwalchen (Salzburg).

His successors are CEO Christian Fürstaller and CFO Rodolphe Schoettel. Both logisticians bring almost 30 years of experience in the transport, forwarding and logistics industry with them. They acquired their skills in Austria at the Quehenberger Logistik Gruppe and Delacher Logistics respectively, as well as in their management functions at globally acting enterprises such as Thiel Logistik, TNT and CEVA Logistics.

For 2009 Augustin Spedition & Logistik GmbH has scheduled a new logistics centre, which is to be constructed on a 44,000m²-area in Eberstalzell (Upper Austria), directly situated at the A1-motorway. In 2008 the Augustin Group employed 1,200 persons, who generated a turnover of EUR 190 million.
