P and O Ferrymasters doubles cabot volumes in two-year deal

Following  a  two-month  tender  process,  P&O  Ferrymasters  has  strengthened  its  position  as  a  leading  pan-European transport supplier for US chemicals and performance materials company Cabot Corporation with a new two-year contract that doubles previous volumes.   
 
Under  the  latest  agreement,  the  supply  chain  solutions  specialist  has  been  awarded  almost  2300  full  loads per  year  after  adding  various  new  trade  lanes  to  existing  flows  from  eight  plants  across  Europe.  The company  will  use  trailers  and  45ft  pallet  wide  containers  to  move  specialty  additives  used  in  the  plastics, rubber, adhesives, sealants and coatings industries.   
 
Eric Staal, general manager sales & development Benelux, who is responsible for the account, says: “This is a  significant  win  for  us  –  it  shows  that  high  quality  service  and  strong  customer  relationships  are  key elements for lasting success.”
