Panalpina acquires Norway-based Grieg Logistics
The Grieg Group has announced the sale of its shares in Grieg Logistics to Panalpina for an undisclosed transaction price. Subject to the approval of the Norwegian competition authorities, Panalpina will acquire 100% of Norway-based Grieg Logistics. Grieg’s maritime services and port operations are not a part of the sale, and will continue to operate under the name Grieg Logistics after closing. Established in 1969, Grieg Logistics provides freight forwarding, domestic transportation, warehousing and distribution services, and customs clearance. All of the approximately 100 employees in the Grieg Logistics business units acquired by Panalpina will remain with the company, which will trade under the name of Panalpina Grieg for an interim period.
