Panalpina: Jan Kalmring appointed as new Country Manager Austria
The Panalpina Group has ‘recasted’ the management board of its Austrian subsidiary. Jan Kalmring (40) has been working as Country Manager Austria since August. He succeeds Michael Schnitzler in this role.
Jan Kalmring joined the Panalpina Group in 2007 after having worked for Kuehne + Nagel and DHL. Since then he has held various positions in the areas of controlling and finance. In 2012 he took over the function of Country Head of Finance Austria and in the summer of 2015 he became Deputy Director of the national company.
In the last seven years, Panalpina Welttransport GmbH has undergone consistent modernisation. The company is focused on quality and performance, as well as customer-oriented logistics solutions. The result of these efforts is a significantly streamlined and agile organisation with 150 employees at the locations in Vienna (headquarters), Korneuburg (warehouse location), Werndorf near Graz, Linz, Innsbruck and Höchst with almost EUR 150 million annual turnover.
