PC manufacturer Stak integrates with NetDespatch for easy order fulfilment

Marlow, UK, 22 March 2012 – Computer firm Stak has leapt forward with fulfilling customer website orders since integrating its ecommerce system with web technology from NetDespatch. Stak’s web store system now sends orders directly to the NetDespatch online applications for order management, shipping label printing, carrier pre-advice and consignment tracking.

The integration is saving a huge amount of time by eliminating data duplication, preventing address and service errors caused by mis-keying, and enabling parcel shipping labels to be printed automatically, each time an order is fulfilled.

“Before we integrated both systems, we had to do everything manually and this was taking a lot of time, time that we could use to better serve our customers. Now we have a streamlined and seamless process, which allows us to fulfil orders quickly and accurately. The orders come in, we print the picking lists, and then it is a simple single-click to print the shipping label once we’ve processed the day’s orders,” says Shay Patel, MD.

“NetDespatch enhanced the system for us so that we can cancel a label and record the reason for cancellation. This information is then sent automatically by email to the customer and through to our parcel carrier, Streetwise Couriers, making all parties aware of why we have cancelled the transaction,” he adds.

Tom Jepp, Stak’s Technical Engineer comments on the ease of integration.

“The NetDespatch Connector XML API is simple to use. It is really quick and easy to set up and the integration between the two systems is saving us a lot of time when processing and fulfilling orders. The documentation that NetDespatch provides is comprehensive and helpful.”

Shay Patel says that the integration support NetDespatch provided to the project team was exemplary.

“The support team members enabled an easy transition. Any information we needed was forthcoming and they were very helpful. In fact, their support kept us enthusiastic about the project. Any time we needed their input, Tom Jepp was able to call them and speak to a technical person at his own level, address the situation and get a quick resolution,” he says.

Stak Trading was established in 1990 and has evolved into one of the leading UK manufacturers of PC systems and distributors of computer peripherals. The company has a rapidly growing UK-wide customer base in excess of 10,000, which it delivers to using the APC Overnight next day delivery network.
