Post Office partners with DHL Express for click and collect deliveries

The Post Office has today partnered with DHL Express to deliver parcels directly to Post Office branches as part of DHL’s Service Point network.

The partnership will take advantage of DHL’s Service Point network to provide more secure and convenient locations to pick up parcels.

The Post Office is the UK’s largest retail network with more than 11,500 branches.

DHL Express handles more than 480 million packages and documents a year through its network, and the company currently has 1,300 Service Points in the UK.

The click and collect trial will begin at Post Offices in Northern Ireland before being rolled out to more than 1,000 branches across the UK from the start of 2023.

Customers making a purchase online will be able to choose their local Post Office as the collection point, whereby DHL will deliver parcels directly to the Post Office and the Postmaster will process customer collections at the counter.

“DHL recognises the value our Postmasters bring to their customers with their knowledge of the parcel market and the long hours their branches are open giving people a convenient and secure location to pick up their packages,” said Nick Read, Chief Executive at the Post Office.
