Quehenberger founds new company for contract logistics

Quehenberger Solutions starts with 15 logistics locations in Central and Eastern Europe

Customer—specific solutions along the complete supply chain will be the core activities of Quehenberger Logistics. The new subsidiary of the Augustin Quehenberger Group is a competence centre for contract logistics and develops individual service concepts for the automotive industry, tyre trade, producers of consumer goods, trade chains and medium-sized industrial enterprises. Manging director Thomas Kammerlander heads the organisation with 15 logistics sites in Austria, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Poland and Russia.

„The kind and volume of our contract business segment make it necessary to join the competence in an extra company. Quehenberger Solutions develops individual, ideal solutions for each new customer project and ensures subsequent current optimisation”, Chrisitan Fürstaller, CEO of Augustin Quehenberger Group, explains their direction of impact.

Quehenberger Solutions offers a comprehensive range of services in the fields of procurement logistics (customer specific solutions with pre-assembly, sequencing or production supply), distribution logistics (warehousing and transport concepts with branch specific value-added services such as labelling, set forming or returns management) and logistics-outsourcing with the option of completely taking over employees and assets.

These service concepts are based on a holistic quality management by experienced employees. “We do not only take over given calls for tenders, but analyse the enterprises in all segments, to recognise their potential of optimisation and make it useable for the client“, Kammerlander explains. According to him warehouse management and supply chain control are based on the use of state-of-the-art IT technology.

Quehenberger Logistics presents itself as a quality provider of network and contract logistics in Central and Eastern Europe with its headquarters in Straßwalchen near Salzburg. 1,100 employees at 64 locations in 13 countries generated a turnover of around EUR 220 million in the year 2010.
