Raben Group to continue expansion in Ukraine
Raben Ukraine to build 20,000m² warehouse for dangerous and ambient goods with an investment of EUR 6.4 million
Raben Group celebrates the 10th anniversary of their subsidiary in Ukraine, where comprehensive services are provided in the following segments: contract logistics, national distribution, international distribution and sea and air freight transport.
As for 2014 Raben Ukraine announces the construction of a new 20,000m² warehouse for dangerous and ambient goods. The investment totals about EUR 6.4 million. In the past two years they had established an X-dock facility with 52 loading ramps and a customs cargo terminal.
Raben Ukraine started its business activity in 2003 from one branch located in Kiev, which had 5 employees. Today Raben Ukraine employs about 700 people at 8 branches (Kyiv, Dnipropetrivs’k, Odesa, Lviv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, and Khmelnitsky). By the end of 2012, Raben Ukraine’s turnover amounted to EUR 33,5 million, comparing to 2005 EUR 1,8 million shows the company’s strong growth. By June 2013 the company had 550 vehicles at its disposal. The warehouse facilities of Raben Ukraine increased from 10,000m² in 2006 up to 60,000m² by August 2013.
The Raben Group offers area-covering logistics services in the segments contract logistics, national distribution, international distribution and sea and air freight transport, as well as intermodal transport. The company has own locations in 10 European countries (Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine) and operates about 1 million m² warehousing area. 8,000 employees generated a group turnover of about EUR 1 billion last year.
