Raimund Stüer becomes Head of Kuehne + Nagel’s global railway business

Kuehne + Nagel wants to develop its railway activities and push combined transport solutions:

Raimund Stüer, former CEO of the railway company TX Logistik, is to assume responsibility for the global railway business and intermodal transport as Kuehne + Nagel Senior Vice President, effective 1 January 2012. This position implies also the strategic expansion and management of transport logistics on the railway.

“It is our aim to develop our rail activities and push solutions for combined transport“, says Dirk Reich, member of the Management Board of Kuehne + Nagel International AG, in charge of the overland transport division. “Bundling transportations shall help to establish effective network connections. We are glad Mr. Stüer, who is an experienced and successful manager, will be handling this task.“

During his work for TX Logistik, Raimund Stüer was concentrating on the establishment of intermodal transport. He has formed the enterprise together with four partners in 1999. Having sold his shares to the Italian railway enterprise Trenitalia, Stüer left TX Logistik AG in June 2011.
