RCA improves offer for timber industry
The timber industry shows a continuously strong demand for the services offered by Rail Cargo Austria AG (RCA). Forst Holz Papier (FHP), a platform for cooperations of different companies, just confirmed the tight collaboration with the ÖBB’s cargo transport subsidiary, which was started 3 years ago, and prolonged it until 2010. In a press release the company stated to hold on to the “Green Logistics”-concept in economically difficult periods as well. Last year RCA forwarded 12 million tons of cargo on behalf of the FHP-members. In order to be able to generate growth in the future as well, RCA plans to invest more into high-quality cargo wagons, elaborated logistics concepts and optimisation of the use of areas.
