Record figure of exhibitors at transport logistic 2013

The 14th transport logistic – international trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management – is taking place in Munich from 4 to 7 June
 
Munich is becoming the navel of the world’s transport and logistics industry from 4 to 7 June. Over 2,000 exhibitors from 64 countries have registered to take part in the 14th transport logistic, international exhibition for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management. In terms of exhibition space, there has also been an increase – the event now encompasses a ninth hall. Indoor and outdoor exhibition space together totals 110,000 m², showing the products and services of companies all along the value-added chain in the sector.
 
"The logistics sector is facing many challenges in the coming years, among them how best to serve the urban areas of the future and how to guarantee a secure delivery chain. transport logistic is an opportunity for those engaged in the logistics business to meet and talk with colleagues from home and abroad and explore a range of solutions," said Eugen Egetenmeir, Managing Director of Messe München.
 
The increase of over 110 exhibitors is accounted for mainly by interest from abroad: the proportion of exhibitors from outside Germany at transport logistic is now around 45.3 percent. There has been a significant rise in interest from Lithuania, which now has almost twice as many exhibitors here than last time. Also noticeably higher is the number of exhibitors from Belgium, Austria and Switzerland. And taking part for the first time are countries like Albania, Indonesia, Macedonia and Zimbabwe. Generally the trend is towards joint stands. Fourteen national pavilions are being put on this year. These include stands from Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
 
transport logistic is the world’s biggest trade fair for cargo transport on the road, rail, waterway and by air freight. The portfolio covers logistics and cargo transport, telematics as well as internal transport and material flow. Air Cargo Europe, an exhibition of the global air cargo industry, has been integrated into transport logistic. 
 
In addition to transport logistic in Munich there are two more eventsabroad: transport logistic China with integrated Air Cargo China and logitrans Transport Logistics Exhibition in Istanbul.
