RichLand enters Indonesia’s chemical logistics sector with two new contracts

RichLand Logistics Indonesia (RLI) has secured new contracts to manage the domestic transportation of bulk liquids for two chemical companies in Indonesia.

The contracts with BASF Indonesia and Styrindo Mono Indonesia mark a significant step forward in Richland’s plans to expand in Southeast Asia’s specialised chemical logistics sector.

The three-year contract with Styrindo Mono is valued at around S$5 million, and is renewable for a further two-year term.

Under the Styrindo Mono contract, RichLand’s annual volume is set to exceed 160,000 tons per year. The company manages the outbound logistics and transport of bulk styrene monomer from the SMI plant in West Java to end-customers located across Java.

For the contract with BASF, Richland undertakes selected transportation assignments from BASF plants in Cengkareng, Jakarta and Merak, West Java to key customers in Java and Sumatra.
