Road Solution (Wels) opens branch in Greece
Road Solution Hellas M.E.P.E. starts scheduled groupage cargo service from Greece on 3rd January 2011
In response to certain customer demands Road Solution GmbH Logistik-Service with its headquarters in Wels founds a location in Geece. Road Solution Hellas M.E.P.E. situated in Katerini is to start officially operating on 3rd January 2011. “This milestone in our relation with Greece allows us to confirm scheduled groupage cargo services from Greece more than once per week“, managing director Andreas Niederndorfer emphasises in the interview with the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung. In Katerini all groupage cargo consignments for Western/Northern Europe are collected and in the opposite direction feed to national distribution. For temperature controlled consignments (+10 to +25 degree Celsius) the forwarding company offers also import and export solutions for part loads. “With the guaranteed amount of 35 to 40 available trucks per week large import and export volumes can be covered“, Niederndorfer points out. Another service module that is appreciated by customers is the gapless electronic consignments test including integrated process of confirmed delivery reports, as the forwarder says. The recently introduced pallet exchange is available in clearly defined regions during the initial period. In addition to the Greece services the Wels-based forwarding company has also been organising regular traffic from Europe to Cyprus and transport solutions from/to Slovenia since a while.
