SCA Logistics succeeds SCA Transforest

One brand for all wholly owned terminals: SCA Transforest becomes SCA Logistics

SCA Transforest AB has changed its corporate name to SCA Logistics AB on 1 June, 2013. For the first time in the company’s 46-year history, all of the wholly owned Interforest terminals operate under the same company name and brand. All legal entities within the SCA Transforest AB Group will retain the same corporate registration numbers as previously. Contracts or agreements with SCA Transforest AB or Interforest Terminals will remain valid.

“Since the beginning back in 1967, much of our business and offering has changed. Transportation is no longer just transportation, but also encompasses logistics with a much broader offering of services, ranging from stock management and shipping in various forms and to numerous destinations, to customs clearance, forwarding and ship agency services. We have therefore decided to rename the company to clearly communicate what we offer and provide”, the company announces.

With 395 employees SCA Logistics provides an extensive sea and land transport service within Europe and other overseas destinations. The business is supported by a network of terminals at strategic locations in Sundsvall and Umea (Sweden), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Lübeck (Germany) and London. Associated terminals exist in Skövde (Sweden), Vaasa (Finland), Hull (Great Britain), Dublin (Ireland), Lisbon (Portugal) and Livorno (Italy).

SCA Logistics is part of SCA’s Forest Products business unit, which produces publication papers for newspapers, magazines and catalogues, as well as paper for packaging, solid wood products, pulp and renewable energy
