SDL to establish location in western Austria

Distribution centre of SDL Handelsges.m.b.H. in Vomp (Tyrol) to start operating in June

For a better and more flexible service of the restaurants of the major client McDonald’s in western Austria, SDL Handelsges.m.b.H. is to establish a new distribution centre in Vomp in Tyrol. “We rent a 3,000 sq. m. building. The facility provides three temperature zones and will start operating in June“, says managing director Gerald Höller in the interview with Österreichische Verkehrszeitung (Austrian Transport Magazine). In full operation the location will provide 25 jobs. The delivery range reaches from Vorarlberg to Tyrol and Salzburg.

SDL (Service + Distribution + Logistik) provides services in the following fields: goods procurement, quality control, warehouse operation, distribution and supply chain management. The subsidiary of the Havi Logistics Group (previously Alpha Group) operates a 7, 000 sq. m. covered distribution centre with three temperature zones at its headquarters in Korneuburg near Vienna. Their own fleet comprises 23 semi-trailer trucks. In the year 2009 the 130 employees generated a turnover of around EUR 130 million (including trading business).
