Spatial appoints new managing director in drive to accelerate growth

Castle Donington-based logistics and freight specialist Spatial Group has a new managing director.  55-year-old Bryan Hindle joins the company this month from ND Overseas – part of Norbert Dentressangle – where he was Commercial Manager UK.

Spatial focuses on the provision of international freight forwarding, mail and fulfilment, warehousing, pick-and-pack, courier and distribution services – plus related added-value support.  Operating across a broad spread of market sectors, with special expertise in education and healthcare, it is a member of the fast-growing Keswick Enterprises group.

Bryan Hindle arrives at Spatial with over 20 years‘ experience in global multi-faceted logistics operations.  As well as setting up the freight business ND Overseas in the UK and driving its revenues from nothing to GBP2 million within the first twelve months, he has also worked in senior management roles for market leaders Eagle CEVA Logistics and DHL Danzas AEI.  He was already known to some of the Spatial team from his time with Danzas AEI and Atlas Air at nearby East Midlands Airport.  Bryan entered the logistics sector in 1978 after starting his career as a Royal Navy diver, followed by a spell in Air Traffic Control.

Bryan commented: “Spatial is a well-kept secret.  It’s a fabulous freight and logistics company with a diligent, dynamic and experienced team, and a strong quality ethos – yet few have heard of it.  For three decades the business has been growing steadily by offering commitment, high service standards and integrity, while being innovative and creative in supporting customers‘ needs.  Now my target is to raise the profile of Spatial, and to develop and accelerate growth in the business – particularly in our principal markets of freight and mail services.“

John Harvey, Head of Keswick Enterprises, which owns Spatial Group, added: “I welcome Bryan Hindle into the business.  He has wide experience and a strong track record of growing the operations he has been associated with, while working for some of the world’s largest freight and supply chain management organisations.“

Bryan Hindle lives in Derby, and is married with two daughters and two grandchildren.  A field sports enthusiast, until recently he represented his home county, Derbyshire, in clay pigeon shooting.
