Start of privatization in Port of Ruse (Bulgaria)

Republic of Bulgaria to open a procedure for a concession for “Ruse-center Port Terminal”
 
The Ministry of transport, information technology and communications (MTITC) has opened а procedure to offer on concession for service of: “Ruse-center Port Terminal, part of Port for public transport of national importance of Ruse”.
 
The Announcement for the procedure has been published on the web-site of the Bulgarian State Gazette: http://dv.parliament.bg/DVWeb/index.faces under № 1 as of 21.11.2012 and also on the web-site of the MTITC: http://www.mtitc.government.bg/ under the section “Current Concessions”.
 
Port of Ruse is the biggest Bulgarian river port on the Danube. It has a key position along the Pan-European Transport Corridors VII (Rhine-Main-Danube) and IX (Helsinki – St. Petersburg – Moscow – Kiev – Bucharest – Ruse – Dimitrovgrad – Alexandroupolis). The port of Ruse has two cargo terminals (Ruse-east and Ruse-west), a Ro-Ro terminal and a passenger quay, located at the center of the town.
