STLB’s locomotive fleet acquired a new unit
Styrian railway-company acquired locomotive for Teminal WerndorfThe standard gauge locomotive fleet of the Steiermärkischen Landesbahnen (Styrian railway) was enlarged. Just before the Easter holidays the locomotive Am 847-961-0 was purchased in Switzerland and transferred to the location at the Terminal Graz-Süd/Werndorf. The newly acquired unit has additional safety equipment and will be used for shunting works at the Terminal Werndorf and on the route between Gleisdorf and Weiz. “The locomotive was previously deployed as DB 211.124-3 for Deutsche Bahn and afterwards sold to Switzerland, where it had been used in construction traffic“, as the Management of Steiermärkische Landesbahnen announced in a paper.
