Talke announces completion of Slovnaft-„Silofarm“
Construction of the logistics facility for polyethylene-granules on site of the Slovnaft plant in Bratislava by the Talke Group is right on schedule
The Talke Group has just completed an important intermediate step in one of their biggest construction projects to date. The silo facility in the logistics complex, which the company is building for the Slovak Slovnaft Group, was completed on schedule.
With the construction of 28 silos, Talke has completed a central construction stage of a project estimated at 22 million Euros as general contractor. The “silo farm” is the centrepiece of the logistics facility for the handling and bagging of polyethylene-granules, whose completion is planned for the first quarter 2015.
The new Slovnaft polyethylene production facility will most likely start operation in the second quarter 2015. The new logistics facility with direct connection to the manufacturing site offers a handling capacity of 220.000 tons of granules per year.
The new building of the petrochemical division of the Slovnaft Group site in Bratislava also comprises a packing- and storage warehouse, offices as well as circulation- and shunting areas. Furthermore two bagging and packing lines, three loading areas for bulk cargo as well as the product handling lines between the degassing and storage silos will be installed.
