TFG Transfracht improves offer and increases prices

More direct trains and price increases by 6 per cent on average for TFG Transfracht’s AlbatrosExpress system

 

With the change of the schedule on 13 December TFG Transfracht will increase the share of direct train services within the hub and shuttle system between the seaport and hinterland terminals to about 50 per cent. In addition the quality of delivery by  truck shall rise thanks to a reduction of the free waits from 3 to 2 hours. "Combined with an improved production concept, increased capacity per train and the set up of a central control unit the transportations are considerably optimised in total“, the enterprise announces in a statement.

 

In the systems AlbatrosExpress Germany, Austria and Switzerland prices will rise 6 per cent on average at the change of the year. This shall cushion increased costs for transport, staff and energy. In the depot segment prices will remain stable. The purchase of renewable energy will enable the company to offer its customers also CO2-free transportations in the future.

TFG Transfracht Internationale Gesellschaft für kombinierten Güterverkehr mbH & Co, a holding of DB Mobility Logistics AG and HHLA Intermodal GmbH, is the market leader in seaport hinterland traffic with German seaports. On behalf of shippers and forwarders the enterprise transports containers from German seaports directly to end customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as from original shippers to the German seaports. The therefore developed network comprises more than 15,000 connections per year as well as 20 terminals. The transport capacity per day amounts to 4,800 TEU.
