Thermotraffic further expands its transport services in Western Europe
Thermotraffic, Versmold-based forwarding company for temperature-controlled logistics, opens representative offices in Spain and Italy
Thermotraffic, a company for temperature-controlled transports founded in 1984, keeps expanding in Western Europe. After opening an office in Hornchurch/England, the international logistics company now also opens representative offices in Barcelona and Milan. In previous years, especially in Spain and Italy, Thermotraffic detected strong growth as far as temperature-controlled transports of food and pharmaceuticals are concerned.
Right from the start, Thermotraffic is going to offer their entire portfolio and group network: comprehensive logistics services and transports of temperature-controlled food, pharmaceuticals, chemical products and living plants.
“As traffic junction for seaport, rail and road traffic, Barcelona is an ideal new location for us”, Falko Thomas, managing director of Thermotraffic GmbH explains. “It offers excellent possibilities for the development of intermodal transports,” he adds.
Besides setting up and expanding traffic via Barcelona and the traffic junction in Milan, both representative offices are going to function as points of contact for numerous regional customers. „By doing this, we offer our uniform and worldwide high quality standards from these locations as well”, Thomas states.
From this step, Thermotraffic expects greater local presence in Italy and Spain, but also anticipates a better utilisation rate of northbound freight capacity. Thermotraffic expects an annual increase in turnover of about EUR 1.2 million by opening these representative offices
