TimoCom launches warehousing and logistics areas exchange

IT service provider for the transport idnustry TimoCom presented Europe’s biggest warehousing exchange in Hannover
 
TimoCom Soft- und Hardware GmbH presented a new, pan-European exchange platform for warehousing and logistics areas at the IAA utility vehicle fair in Hannover. The exchange for warehouses is the logic expansion of the company’s portfolio. It completes their previous range of road-based spot and contract market and provides Europe’s biggest offer of warehousing areas as the company announces.
 
“With this storage area exchange we are the European market leader from the beginning. We have done a lot of preparatory work and can offer our customers up to 30,000 warehousing and logistics areas“, says Marcel Frings, Chief Representative of TimoCom. “We expect also enterprises from other industrial sectors to use our services.“
 
The storage exchange functions like a virtual market place. Users can enter their requirements (e.g.: kind of storage, size or location) in the mask. Free warehousing and logistics areas according to the search will then be displayed. It works also the other way round: providers can put their free areas and all relevant information online, and can be found easily on the exchange. The storage and logistics exchange of TimoCom is to start with locations in 40 Eruopean countries. The platform is available in 24 languages and is free for TimoCom customers until 31 March 2013. Users will benefit from exact and flexible warehousing and logistics areas, reduced vacancies and a higher level of capacity utilisation.
