Traffic restrictions on road cargo transport in Bulgaria
Eight-hours driving bans on truck transport on four major roads in Bulgaria on January 1 and 5, 2014
Operators of international road cargo transport in Bulgaria will have to face short-term restrictions on their operations at the start of the year 2014. The Austrian association of international road hauliers AISÖ (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Internationaler Straßenverkehrsunternehmer Österreichs) was informed by the Bulgarian association AEBTRI about a driving ban on trucks exceeding 10 tonnes of gross vehicle weight on January 1 and 5, 2014 between 12 noon and 8 p.m. on the following roads:
Road I-1 Mezdra – Kulata border crossing;
Road I-5 Rousse – Veliko Tarnovo;
Road I-8 Plovdiv – Assenovgrad;
Road I-9 Varna – Bourgas
