Transco Süd offers certified security for supply chains

AEO status for all German locations of Transco Süd freight forwarding company forms the basis to continue the expansion

Transco Süd GmbH has certified all its German locations – the houses in Konstanz, Dormagen, Weil am Rhein, Gottmadingen and Singen – according to AEO F. This certification standard covers the certificates AEO C for simplified customs clearance and AEO S for security. For the international freight forwarding and logistics company Transco the AEO status is an important milestone regarding the development of new customer segments and the continuation of their expansion strategy.

A core competence of the Transco group is customs clearance. The enterprise has been operating its own customs offices for decades at the important German-Swiss bordercrossings Konstanz-Kreuzlingen and Weil am Rhein-Basel as well as in Thayngen and Ramsen. Also at the brodercrossing Chiasso between Switzerland and Italy the Transco company has a customs office. The AEO status enables Transco now to benefit in the customs clearance, as e.g. the reduction of customs control and previous instruction about planned controls by the customs authorities.

The Transco group has 400 employees at 21 locations in eight European countries, who provide a broad range of transport and logistics services. In 2009 they posted a consolidated turnover of CHF 108 million.
