TX Logistik increases its attractiveness as an employer

As of 1 April TX Logistik AG (TXL) will shift its headquarters from Bad Honnef to Troisdorf-Spich. Following a twelve-months construction period the new premises is now completed, and will provide the employees of the rail logistics company 3,000 m² office area.

The new TXL headquarters was built on a 8,000 m² premises in the industrial area of Junkersring. The building has four floors, with three of them occupied just after the move. The fourth floor is a reserve, as the company is growing continuously. “We need more qualified employees for this growth“, says Frank Lehner, CEO Sales and Marketing, TX Logistik. “The attractive location of the headquarters will make us even more interesting as an employer,” he is convinced.

The property is located directly at the highway 59, and only a few kilometers away from the Cologne/Bonn airport and the ICE railway station in Siegburg. The investment totals EUR 10 million. „We adhered to time and budget frames,“ says Hans Werner Pütz, project developer from Niederkassel-Rheidt.

The premises will provide 146 parking spaces for cars and 65 for bicycles to the employees and visitors. For maximum energy efficiency inside the building can be reached through windows with triple glazing, a heat insulation system and a ventilation system with heat recovery.

TX Logistik was established in 1999 as a private railway enterprise. Today the company operates a strong European network. With about 500 employees throughout Europe the enterprise generated annual turnover of more than EUR 250 million in 2014. Since March 2011 TX Logistik has been wholly owned by Trenitalia, a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello stato.
