UASC launches new Australia – South East Asia trade lane

United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) will launch a new service in September, the Asia Australia Container Service 1 (AAC1), which will cover the trade lane from Australia to South East Asia.

The new AAC1 service will be operated jointly between UASC, Hyundai Merchant Marine, China Shipping Container Lines, and Hapag Lloyd, with one 2,200 – 2,300 TEU vessel deployed by each carrier.

The AAC1 port rotation will cover Port Kelang, Singapore, Fremantle, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Jakarta and Port Kelang.

Encompassed within this cooperation, UASC will expand its port coverage network and become a part of the continuously increasing trade activity to and from the Australian ports.

The inauguration of the AAC1 service will enable UASC to provide a steadily expanded geographical scope of shipping services to and from Australia through connecting services – offering coverage of the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East, Red Sea, Mediterranean and Northern European markets.
