Upper Austria’s search for private operator of Container Terminal Enns attracts five interested parties
 
Upper Austria is looking for a private operator of the Container Terminal Enns. According to a report of the newspaper OÖ Nachrichten, Michael Strugl, Upper Austria’s Minister of Economy, has opened a call for tenders. It is reported that there are five interested parties, with international inland port operators and the Salzburg-based company Kaindl.
 
The 80,000 m² Container Terminal Enns, equipped with four block train tracks, 630 metres of quay wall and the largest trimodal container gantry crane on the Upper Danube, allows for direct and efficient container handling with a single lift from ship to train, truck or to the depot. 60 block trains are handled per week.
