UPS extends Mobile Apps to Canada & Europe

UPS has extended its UPS MobileTM Apps and mobile website to customers in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Canada.

The mobile website and the UPS Mobile Apps for for Android and BlackBerry enable users to track shipments, create shipments using the My UPS address book and calculate shipping rates and time-in-transit.

Customers can use their smartphones to access their My UPS Address Book and Preferences and create shipping labels for document and non-document shipments worldwide. Shipping labels can be e-mailed in a PDF file for printout.

As an added feature of the UPS Mobile Apps, customers can use their device’s GPS capabilities to find the nearest UPS location.

The updated UPS Mobile App for Android is available now on Android Market in the US, Germany, the UK, France, Italy and Canada.

The updated UPS Mobile App for BlackBerry is available now on App World in the US, Germany, the UK, Italy and Canada, and in January 2011 in France.

UPS was first-to-market in the industry with apps for the BlackBerry in December 2009 and for the Android in April 2010. In less than one year, the apps surpassed the one million downloads mark in the US.
