DB Schenker to construct a new 54,520 m² logistics facility in Singapore

DB Schenker Logistics is to build a new integrated logistics centre in Singapore. The facility, located at the Tampines LogisPark, close to Changi International Airport, is designed as a shared warehouse, for customers from various industries, such as healthcare, electronics, and automotive. The 41 million Euros-facility will have a gross floor area of approximately 54,520 m² spread across three floors, and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2014. Earmarked to be awarded Green Mark Gold Plus, the new DB Schenker centre will feature highly effective thermal insulation, a rainwater management system as well as an efficient air-conditioning system.

"This new facility represents our largest investment in the region to date and acknowledges the continued attractiveness of Singapore as a location to conduct logistics operations," says Darren Wedding, Senior Vice President – Contract Logistics/SCM, Region Asia Pacific, DB Schenker. As one of the leading providers of contract logistics and supply chain management solutions in Singapore, DB Schenker is currently operating warehousing space capacity of more than 212,000 m².
