US Airways appoints WFS in Philadelphia
WFS has been awarded a contract to provide cargo handling services to US Airways in the carrier’s freight facility in Philadelphia.
Services include cargo warehousing, customer service and cargo screening. WFS has supplied the latest TSA-approved technology for x-ray and ETD cargo screening. With a total annual throughput of 120,000 tonnes, Philadelphia is the largest US Airways‘ cargo hub in North America, operating 24/7 with more than 400 daily flights to 29 international and 85 domestic destinations.
WFS began handling cargo for US Airways in Miami in June. The addition of Philadelphia menas that WFS now provides cargo services to US Airways in fifteen locations in North America, as well as seven European airports.
