Waberer’s decided to order 650 new Volvo tractors

EUR 40 million agreement with Volvo Trucks: Waberer’s International expands and modernises its truck fleet

Budapest-based Waberer’s International Pte. Co. placed an order for 650 new tractors with Volvo Trucks. The more than 40 million euro agreement is part of a development program, in which Waberer’s will expand its fleet with more than 1,100 tractors. This year’s procurements had contributed to lower the fleet’s average age remaining under 2 years. In the first 6 months of 2013 the number of the company’s clients grew by 300, and the freight kilometers driven by the fleet of more than 3,000 vehicles has grown by 20 per cent, the company names the reason for the fleet expansion.

The Euro 5 classified vehicles have the capacity of 460 and 500 horsepower. The equipment of the truck-trailers’ cabins include such comfortable features as two beds, a refrigerator, standby heating and air-conditioning. With the help of an on-board computer the driver can track his own and his vehicle’s performance. A safe journey is ensured by ABS and EBS stabilising program.
