Wildenhofer expands pharmaceutical logistics fleet

Truck with tail lift for Wildenhofer’s pharmaceutical logistics

With new trucks the pharmaceutical logistics division of the Salzburg-based forwarding company Wildenhofer improves its service portfolio. In order to be able to meet the customers’ requirements considering quicker reactions, procurement of small national and international consignment units and special requirements at loading stations, the company acquired trucks with tail lifts and a load capacity of 15 euro-pallets. One vehicle had its premiere trip with a procurement order for vaccines with several loading stations in Greece, Bulgaria and Romania.

Since some years Wildenhofer Pharmalogistik operates a fleet consisting of about 30 long-haule vehicles to carry out temperature-controlled procurement logistic orders for pharmaceutical enterprises throughout Europe. All trucks used in this segment are equipped with “T-Control“ (temperature control). Temperature and position dates are directly transmitted to the customers. Alarms are directly transmitted to drivers and customers. "This equipment grants a gapless documentation of the cool chain“, Wildenhofer wrote in a folder.
