Willi Betz returns to its core business

Willi Betz corporate group wants to push its activities in Eastern Europe to a greater extent

Selling the LGI Logistics Group International to Kajo Neukirchen GmbH and M Cap Finance Mittelstandsfonds GmbH & Co. KG, a new era started for the Willi Betz corporate group. The traditional company headquartered in Reutlingen wants to concentrate on its core business – forwarding and transport services in future. Moreover the company plans to push its activities in Eastern Europe, the management announces in a press release.

Wolfgang Bisinger, member of the management board of the Willi Betz forwarding division: “LGI has an excellent market position in the logistics segment, with sustainable potential for international expansion. However, Willi Betz’ focus lies in the expansion of transport and forwarding activities in Eastern Europe, which we want to push stronger than ever. Contract logistics offers currently few options for synergies, which could justify the corporate group to remain in this segment.“

Since its foundation in 1945 the Willi Betz corporate group has evolved into a leading forwarding and logistics enterprise in Europe. About 4,700 employees at 70 locations in more than 20 countries coordinate a vehicle fleet consisting of 2,300 tractors and about 4,000 trailers.
