Würth prolongs cooperation with DPD Austria

DPD Austria remains the parcel logistics partner of assembly wholesaler Würth until the end of 2012

DPD Austria secured the continued cooperation with the Würth group (Böheimkirchen, Lower Austria), a wholesaler of products for the fields of assembly and mounting technology. The partnership of the two companies was prolonged until the end of 2012. Since the start-up up this cooperation in 2005 Würth has send around 3 million parcels of mounting accessories with DPD Austria.

“DPD is the ideal partner for the last mile of our products. The high quality standard of the B2B parcel service was convincing for us. A low damage ratio, gapless reporting of all process figures and complaints were as crucial as the observance of the transport time of 98 per cent within 24 hours“, Alfred Wurmbrand, Managing Director and Spokesman of the Würth Management Board explains the motives to continue the cooperation. Another criterion is the track & trace service for parcels, he adds.

Würth’s consignments contain mounting products like screws, wall dowels and fittings. The recipients are mostly craft enterprises from the construction and timber industry as well as supply companies of the automotive industry. Often deliveries go to construction sites as well.
