Yusen Logistics executes next expansion step in Russia

Yusen Logistics expands their range of activities in the automotive sector in Russia by setting up a strategic location in Togliatti

By opening a location in Togliatti on the Volga (Samara region), Yusen Logistics consolidates their activities in Russia. The new location of the logistics service provider is home to one of the biggest vehicle plants worldwide – the Renault Nissan AVTOVAZ plant with a production capacity of more than a million vehicles per year. The hinterland with more than 800 first- & second tier suppliers within a radius of 200 km, including Ulyanovsk and Dimitrovgrad, is also of great significance.

Yusen Logistics offers the following services for in domestic vehicle market in Russia: truck transports from and to Togliatti; airfreight services, including delivery at place of destination; customs clearances for transit procedures, cross-docking and distribution. The range of international scheduled transports includes seafreight via Novorossiysk, St. Petersburg, Nakhodka, the Baltic States and Finland, airfreight solutions via Moscow and the Samara region (incoming/outgoing ex Kurumoch airport, 60 km from Togliatti) respectively truck transports via Moscow and Smolensk.

The new location uses the existing infrastructure provided by Yusen Logistics Russia, where the company presently operates 11 branches, including 30.000 m2 of warehouse space, container holding spaces, a truck fleet and container chassis. The main access points are Moscow for domestic flows of traffic and Movorossiysk, the Baltic States and Finland for import traffic.
