41 reefers for Lineage

Lineage, the temperature-controlled logistics provider, has expanded its UK fleet with a 41 refrigerated trailers from Schmitz Cargobull. The reefers are equipped with Carrier Transicold Vector single temperature units.

The trailers join a 500-strong fleet. Head of transport Will Maycock said: “With the support we receive from the Service Partner network, we’re confident the new reefers will have a long service life, and we’ll get a good return on our investment.”

The new additions join a 500-strong fleet, approximately 70 per cent of which are from Europe’s largest trailer manufacturer. Each one will be maintained by Rochdale-based Commercial Contract Engineers (CCE), one of Schmitz Cargobull’s 1,700 European Service Partners.

z Cargobull has designed its latest generation of reefers to be lower in height and lighter to optimise fuel-efficiency by reducing drag, without compromising on interior payload capacity.

Schmitz Cargobull’s Dynamic Ramp Protection has been fitted to all 41 of the trailers as reinforcement at the rear of the unit, giving extra confidence to drivers who are required to reverse up to loading bays at distribution centres.
