Air Sylhet launches regular service from Vienna to Amritsar

Expanded flight program from Vienna International Airport to India

The Vienna Airport’s offer of direct flights to destinations in India is being expanded. On April 4, the airline Air Sylhet starts a regular service from Vienna to Amritsar, in the north of India. In the initial stage two weekly flights will be on the schedule.

A Boeing 757 of Air Sylhet starts every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:15 p.m. in Vienna, and arrives next day at 8:15 a.m. in Amritsar. The Air Sylhet plane comes from Birmingham and has a stopover in Vienna where passengers can board and air freight will be loaded.

Amritsar is the second city in India to have a direct flight connection with Vienna. The capital, Delhi, is regularly approached by the Austrian Airlines Group. The flight connection from Vienna to Mumbai has recently been cancelled.
