AkzoNobel cooperates with Kuehne + Nagel also in Salzburg

Manufacturer of paints and varnishes AkzoNobel expands cooperation with logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel to the location in Bergheim
 
The manufacturer of paints and varnishes AkzoNobel has intensified the cooperation with Kuehne + Nagel. In future the logistics provider will be in charge of dangerous goods storage and special services such as the establishment and operation of a tinting facility at the location in Salzburg-Bergheim. At this facility paints will be mixed, picked and prepared for dispatch on behalf of the customer. Kuehne + Nagel takes over the staff working at the tinting facility from AkzoNobel, who have longstanding experience in handling paints and varnishes.
 
Kuehne + Nagel has been working for AkzoNobel since 2007 and stores paints and varnishes – dangerous goods of different categories, at the location in Korneuburg. At the Kuehne + Nagel site in Bergheim, Salzburg, the logistician is in charge of throughput and storage of AkzoNobel products on more than 2,000 m² warehousing area.
 
“The operation of the tinting facility built on behalf of AkzoNobel is a good expamle of value-added offers of Kuehne + Nagel“, says Hendrik Burgath, contract logistics manager with Kuehne + Nagel Austira. In the tinting facility, opened in the presence of Tania Roach, manager AkzoNobel Austria, and Kees Ekelmans, General Manager AkzoNobel Deco Europe, several hundreds of orders for paint mixture will be handled every month.
