APL: Kerber succeeds Appleton as European Regional President

New president of the European company of the APL container shipping company (Singapore) from 1 August

A change in the executive management is to take place at the European organisation of the globally acting container shipping company APL. Detlev Kerber will assume the function of the European Regional President with effect from 1 August. He succeeds Dave Appleton, who simultaneously advances to the Senior Vice President Liner Trade Management based in Singapore.

Detlev Kerber is currently holding the position of the Vice President Asia-Europe Trade at APL. As the new European Regional President he will be in charge of the segments sales, business development and operations in Europe.

APL has more than 4,000 employees in 200 offices around the globe and is the fourth-largest container shipping company in the world. The enterprise operates more than 60 liner services per week. The European company is responsible of 20 strings of them (from/to Asia, North and South America).
