Berger group’s truck repair station moves to new location

Berger Fahrzeugtechnik from Radfeld in Tyrol presents new version of Berger ecotrail:

The Berger Fahrzeugtechnik company headquartered in Radfeld, Tyrol, presented a new version of the Berger ecotrail. The specialist for payload-optimised truck trailers produces light weight trailers made from a combination of steel and aluminium. In a two-years development stage they elaborated a trailer that weighs 4,662 kg, which is about 600 kg less compared to the previous model. Apart from a higher payload that increases efficiency by around 10 per cent, customers can save fuel costs also when transporting less than full loads.

Armed with this new product, David Goulda, managing director of Berger Fahrzeugtechnik, is confident concerning the current business year. He targets a turnover of EUR 15 million. At the moment 325 units are on order; 500 shall be sold this year in total. Export to Germany accounts for about 50 per cent of that. Thanks to the particularly flexible material the trailer, which is certified according to the standard Ö-Norm 283, is well suited for the use on bad roads. In particular customers from Russia estimate this circumstance.

Together with the company Berger Logistik and a truck repair station, Berger Fahrzeugtechnik forms the Berger group with around 300 employees. Due to reasons of capacity the group’s repair station moved from its location in Innsbruck to a new facility in Wörgl, Tyrol, three weeks ago. The repair shop with 50 employees specialises on the brands Volvo and Renault and services customers within a reach of 150 to 200 kilometres.
