bmi appoints Transnautic in Germany

UK-based bmi cargo has appointed Transnautic Aero as its GSSA for Germany, responsible for marketing capacity on its 16 flights per week from Hannover to London.

bmi operates three flights per day from Monday-Friday, and daily on Saturdays, utilising Embraer 145 aircraft with 400 kgs capacity.

Initially sales will be concentrated on the Hannover catchment area, but Transnautic also intends to draw traffic through its Hamburg and Duesseldorf offices, subject to sufficient space availability.

Transnautic is studying the viability of using road feeder services to connect with the airline’s network over London, should traffic levels and shipment sizes justify this.

bmi recently appointed Transnautic’s Polish division to market its services, feeding cargo into its network using the flights of sister airline bmiBaby, which Transnautic also represents.

Transnautic is Germany’s leading cargo GSSA company, with a network of 7 manned offices at the country’s top cargo airports, and representing over 20 airlines. The company is a founder member of the EGSAC GSSA network, and is its exclusive member for France, Germany and Poland; Transnautic MD Mike Staeck is EGSAC’s Vice President. EGSAC has over 30 members, with 80 bases throughout Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
