Böhm Transport Vienna offers new road feeder services

Vienna based transport enterprise Böhm Transport now also provides road feeder services for airfreight shipments:

For Böhm Transport in Vienna, the season is characterised by entry into a new market segment. With – for now – nine special vehicles the family enterprise has now also become active in airfreight road feeder services. Eight vehicles operate as "mega roller bed trailers". The ninth truck serves as "refrigerated mega roller bed".

The operational area of the road feeder services ranges from the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany to Austria and Hungary and return. "The hauling units are equipped with EEV-technology meeting state-of-the-art environmental standards. GPS-tracking services that come with internet access for customers are included in the service", general manager Wolfgang Böhm says in an interview with the Österreichische Verkehrszeitung.

In conventional curtain sider traffic, the transport company schedules 35 trucks. As for national operations the focus is on the connections from the metropolitan area Vienna to destinations in Styria and Upper Austria. With regard to international routes, the connection from Germany to Austria and Hungary and return is the key route. For the metropolitan area Vienna they offer a service for interim storage and distribution of cargo shipments.
