cargo-partner Germany "invests" its prize money into fuel-saving aircraft technology research

 

The international forwarding enterprise cargo-partner attaches importance to environmental responsibility and sustainability. In this sense the company supports an aviation project team at the Hamburg University of Applied Science (HAW Hamburg) with the amount of EUR 10,000. Half of the support funds is the prize money of the Lufthansa Cargo Climate Care Award 2011, cargo-partner had received this March.

The HAW project team is developing a so-called Blended Wing Body-configuration. This innovative aircraft shall be able to save up to 25 per cent of fuel. Mag. Stefan Krauter, CEO of cargo-partner comments: „As an internationally active forwarding enterprise, focussing on environmental protection, cargo-partner is interested in environmentally friendly innovations to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Supporting the development of environmentally friendlier aircraft technology is a sustainable option for the air freight and transport industry to protect the climate.“
