Dachser opens new office in St. Gallen
Dachser GmbH & Co KG improves integration of eastern Switzerland into its global air/sea freight network:
With a new location in St. Gallen, the Dachser Air & Sea Logistics business field is integrating the eastern part of Switzerland better into its global air and sea freight network. In addition to the Dachser Air & Sea Logistics branches in Basle, Geneva and Zurich, St. Gallen is the fourth office in Switzerland. Customers in eastern Switzerland have been served by a sales office since 2007. The new office shall improve the logistics provider’s service.
The service portfolio covers air/sea freight imports and exports, warehousing as well as the handling of customs modalities. Being integrated into Dachser’s overland network, the St. Gallen location offers customers an integrated and transparent door-to-door service.
“Eastern Switzerland is an up-and-coming economic region”, says Dachser Air & Sea Logistics’ managing director, Thomas Reuter. “The proximity to the borders with Germany and Austria mean shorter transport times to the EU area,” he explains the advantages of the new location.
