Dachser sets up joint venture in South Africa
Dachser is further expanding its intercontinental network with a joint venture in South Africa. With a majority shareholding in the joint undertaking, Dachser is reinforcing its activities in its Air & Sea Logistics business segment. Established more than thirty years ago, Jonen Freight provides extensive logistics services in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. "For us and many of our globally operating customers, South Africa is an attractive market and important international transport hub," said Thomas Reuter, managing director of Dachser Air & Sea Logistics. In addition to air and sea freight, the services portfolio includes customs clearance as well as warehousing and distribution.
