DB Schenker opens first branch office in Inner Mongolia

New branch in Hohot in the north of China is the youngest location in the worldwide network of DB Schenker Logistics:

DB Schenker Logistics, the logistics division of Deutsche Bahn, extended its business coverage in China through establishing a location in Hohhot. The new branch office in the captial of the Inner Mongolian province in the north of China was opened recently.Hohhot is the commercial, political, cultural and economic centre of Inner Mongolia. In addition to the important industries for food and textiles, the city is also home to production sites of medicine, wind power, coal, machine tools, and fibre optic cable. These factors made Hohhot been rated as "TOP 10 most dynamic cities in China’s economic development".

DB Schenker was one of the first international forwarders to enter mainland China in the late 1970’s, and opened its first representative office in Beijing in 1982. Today, DB Schenker has offices and facilities in 57 key cities throughout China with more than 4,600 employees working on advanced logistics solutions.
