DHL signs Official Logistics Partner deal with MotoGPTM

Experienced motor sports team to handle logistics of 18 races in 14 countries on four continents

DHL has signed a three-year partnership deal with the world’s premier motorcycle racing championship, MotoGPTM. The partnership will see DHL support the logistics needs of MotoGPTM and its sister championships, Moto2TM and Moto3TM. The 2015 MotoGPTM season features eighteen races in fourteen countries spanning four continents. Each season, more than 80 bikes and 350 tons of equipment for the teams and the championship organizers need to be transported by sea, air and road across a total distance of approximately 90 000 km within just nine months. With tailored solutions for packing and handling motorsports equipment and in-depth knowledge of customs and transport regulations in all the markets where MotoGPTM operates, DHL is well positioned to help ensure that the ‘race before the race’ runs seamlessly and on-time.

Apart from the logistics activities, the partnership will include extensive marketing opportunities. In addition to customer hospitality and logo usage rights for customer marketing initiatives, DHL will benefit from track-side advertising at MotoGPTM races providing exposure to live television audiences in 207 countries.
