Dragon Multimodal Shuttle: New edition in cooperation with Metrans

Intermodal block train Dragon Multimodal Shuttle to start on May 15 as new edition of the link between Halkali/Istanbul and Dunajska Streda
 
The intermodal block train Dragon Multimodal Shuttle, which has been launched by the Turkish logistics enterprise Dragon Shipping & Multimodal in August 2012 will be relaunched on May 15, 2013 based on a partnership with Metrans (Danubia) a.s. in the segments terminal services, customs service as well as regarding the use of the many feeder options available within the Metrans network. The Metrans terminal Dunajska Streda will then serve as a hub within the Dragon Multimodal Shuttle system.
 
From May 15 the Dragon Multimodal Shuttle will be operated every Wednesday from Halkali/Istanbul to Slovakia. On its return course the block train will be operated with a capacity will be operated with a capacity of 36×45‘ HC PW containers, departing every Thursday in Dunajska Streda. Frequency shall be increased to two weekly rotations from June 1 – on Saturdays from Halkali and on Sundays from Dunajska Streda. The Viennese consulting company SKILLZ will act as the local representative office for the CEE region, and will thus be in charge of the operative control of the train system and sales.
 
The trademark of the Dragon Multimodal Shuttle is a wide service range for transportations between Turkey and the European economic centres. Apart from the train operation Halkali/Istanbul – Dunajska Streda v. v. and the provision of 45‘ HC containers, this includes also customs service, trucking, transhipment, warehousing in Turkey, railway connections within the Metrans network, container trucking within the CEE region, customs services in Dunajska Streda and interim storage.
